Overview
Just off Phuket's east coast, the Kai Islands are a trio of tiny sandbars ringed by shallow, glassy water — the perfect half-day escape for families and anyone who wants great snorkelling without a long journey. On a private Boat and Beyond longtail you have the boat to yourselves and a relaxed pace all morning or afternoon.
The itinerary calls at Kai Nui Island for snorkelling over shallow coral, Kai Nok Island for its powdery beach, and Rung Yai Island where a picnic is set up on the sand. With calm, waist-deep water in places, it is an easy and safe introduction to the Andaman for younger swimmers, while your onboard assistant looks after food sets, fresh coconuts and cold drinks.
The luxury longtail carries up to four guests (maximum eight). Boats depart from Yamu Pier in Phuket, and hotel car transfer can be arranged for all areas of Phuket at 1,500 THB round trip per car.
